We are looking for a
Test Engineer
to join our technology team in the Kuopio factory.
Purpose of the position:
As a member of Simulation & Testing team, you will work with our engineers and subcontractor partners on various tasks that a team has to offer. Our team is responsible for testing and validation of software releases in simulator environment and in machines in production line and on the field. Additionally, developing and maintaining testing documentation and providing training to SW-team, production, service and customers is part of our work.
Main duties:
-Make test plans in co-operation with the software, hydraulic and electrical design teams to ensure the system features and behavior are in line with the machine specifications.
-Develop and maintain simulator environment (HW and SW).
-Execute software testing in simulator environment.
-Create production testing instructions and manuals together with the production and development teams.
-Create field testing instructions and manuals together with the service.
-Create training documentation and give training for other simulator users.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities in co-operation with Simulation & Testing team and other stakeholders.
-To keep testing instructions up to date.
-To keep simulator development and maintenance documentation up to date.
-To keep simulator user manuals and instructions up to date.
-To keep simulator environment up-to-date (Mevea simulation model, Epec virtual control modules, Junttan control system and simulator mechanics).
-To validate that all new software versions are in-line with machine specifications.
-To validate all new features developed by the SW-team, are applicable.
-To ensure other simulator users have proper documentation and knowledge to use simulator for operator training and testing during SW-development phase.
-Fast response for technical support enquiries from manufacturing and service.
The following skills are benefits for the duty
-Degree: Master or Bachelor of Machine automation, Engineering, Computer Science or equal.
-Basic understanding of embedded systems and their software development tools.
CodeSys, Matlab, C/C++
-Basic understanding of machine user interface development tools
JavaScript, React, Rust, Python etc.
-Automation frameworks/libraries:
Robot Framework, SeleniumLibrary, Pytest
-Fluent English
-Good knowledge about CAN-bus
The position is located in Junttan’s Kuopio factory.
